Larry was first certified as a PADI Open Water Diver on the island of Jamaica in 2000. Living in the majestic mountains surrounding Lake Tahoe at the time afforded Larry the opportunity to start diving on an almost daily basis. He quickly gained experience and a lot of bottom time, becoming a PADI Instructor in 2002.

Since then Larry has travelled the world diving in Jamaica, Puerto Rico, The British Virgin Islands, Florida, California, Nevada, Hawaii, Alaska, Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica, Honduras, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, The Philippines, Australia, and of course, Bonaire.

After specializing in teaching cold water and high altitude diving procedures while certifying more than 250 people at various levels of diving across California & Nevada for 11 years, he visited dushi Bonaire for the 1st time in January, 2013. 36 dives and 9 days later, with one run up to the summit of Branderis (Bonaire’s highest point) on the 10th and final day of his visit, Larry knew he found home.

In May of 2013, Larry returned to Bonaire and quickly found work as a boat captain & dive instructor for one of Bonaire’s oldest and most respected dive operators. He was privileged to work with and for some incredible people, while guiding more than 2500 dives all around the island.

Larry remains forever grateful to his customers, dive buddies and other dive guides who have helped him hone his craft. Larry’s 22 years of PADI instructor experience, & 4000+ dives, combined with his escapades as a dive tourist, position Bonaire Scuba to offer its guests the ideal scuba experience on Bonaire.
